Welcome

Lve Spice

My family originate from the Gujarat region of North West India via Africa.  My food is authentic, wholesome home cooking served in a communal setting, as we would at home.

I source the majority of my ingredients locally which lends itself to my regionally inspired dishes.  Offering light Indian snacks and a cup of chai, using my family chai masala recipe, which you can enjoy on the premises, surrounded by the smells of Indian cooking and ambience.

Or you may instead purchase chilled weekly special curries, pickles, chutneys, rice, bread and my famous handmade samosas with many different flavours to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.

My story

Since starting my venture I’ve introduced home style Gujarati food to the community of Ottery St Mary.  Offering a variety of different flavoured Samosas at the monthly community market as well as my popular coriander chutney.

These small beginnings included Bollywood Nights, fine dining experiences, monthly ‘Passage to India’ evenings and the Ottery Family and Food Festival, culminating in the cook-off with Saira Hamilton (MasterChef Semi-Finalist 2013).

About

Samosa Lady

Tina

My passion for traditional Gujarati food started at a very young age.  Through the years I have developed more than just a passion, I also love to give Indian food a twist.

During tar barrel season in Ottery St Mary, I will produce a flaming barrel samosa or for breakfast meetings - the traditional English breakfast samosa.  Whatever the occasion I will produce home-cooked traditional food which will give your taste buds a feast  A real taste of India in Devon.
